Question by lazarus: Small business tax decductions/expenses for gas and electricity etc?
I’ve heard somewhere that as a small business owner working from home, I can deduct or claim expenses as a portiono f my utilities consumption but IM unable to find any information relating to the calculation/formula for wokring this out or whether you can also calim a sum of rent or council tax in this?
Has anyone managed to successful find anything relating to this already on the web?

This is normal but the area mst be strictly business – a room set aside for instance. Work out the rough percentage of the house set aside. Go by room number – now calculate the power, mortgage interest etc. There is a fair bit about this on the website or you can phone the contact centre and ask for a tech to call you back.
